Children/ Youth Ministry Assistant Job Description

Victory Baptist Church East Gwillimbury is now hiring a Children and Youth Ministry Assistant. We are looking for someone between the ages of 15-30 who has a personal relationship with Jesus and an interest in working with children and youth. The assistant will be working with our Children & Youth Pastor to plan and run two weeks of summer camp programming, one for children and one for Jr High aged youth. They will be responsible for organizing ministry spaces to be used during camp, preparing activities and curriculum, and assisting with the training of camp volunteers. The assistant will also be assisting with general tasks related to the upkeep and management of church ministries, including participating in Sunday services, and preparing children and youth ministries for the upcoming school year. We are looking for someone who will take the initiative and complete tasks promptly. Computer skills will be an asset in this role. 

The job will commence upon a successful interview process and will end August 25th. Hours will be Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm and Sunday 8:30 – 11:30, for a 35 hour week. Hourly wage will be $17.00/hour.
